Cars in OMAN

These are just a few cars you can find in OMAN. You can easily find Hummer, Cadillac, GMC, Dodge, Infiniti, Subaru Legacy, Range Rover and many more.. Even you can find Daihatsu Sirion where in Malaysia it is called Perodua Myvi. Daihatsu also have models like our own Malaysian car like Perodua Kembara, Perodua Kancil and even you can find Proton Satria but here it is Mitsubishi.. Hey, Daihatsu Sirion (Perodua Myvi) only cost you RO (riyal oman) 3,000. If you convert into Malaysian Ringgit it will cost 28,000.. One cool thing is that, here in OMAN you can buy HUMMER H3 for only RO 10,999 where if convert into Malaysian Ringgit it will cost RM 98,000.. haha.. Why Malaysian have to work like hell, day and night, only to buy Toyota Vios or Honda Civic??? Pity you Malaysian.. If you work like how you work in OMAN.. Easily, a car park at your home would be Jaguar, Mercedes Benz, Cadillac, Mercury, Maybach, Hummer.. haha.. Hey you Malaysian.. Haha..

Matrah, Muscat.

15th April '08.. we went to Muscat.. on the way back we had stop by at a near town called Mutrah.. this is a popular town for tourists.. very beautiful place.. a lot of ships and cruises.. a lot of tourists.. the most popular tourist destination would be the 'Mutrah Souq'.. well this is an ancient 'souq'.. you can still see old architecture will beautiful carving with colorful paintings.. you can also find antiquetes.. haha.. and a little bit of 'antik' people.. haha.. well another new phenomena here is that.. old people are friendly.. they love to talk to foreigners.. they will sit and 'lepak2' and chit-chat.. while having balck coffee.. haha.. very interesting thing to see here..

These are just few pictures i took to show you few types of cars that are in OMAN.. well you can see our proud MYVI and KEMBARA.. but not Perodua.. Daihatsu.. and pictures taken from the GRAND MOSQUE in Muscat..

Today we are heading to Muscat for a business trip.. huhu.. so i woke up quiet early for today.. now is 6.00 a.m. (oman time) 15th April '08..

p/s: for your information.. in Oman when you say weekend.. it is on Thursday and Friday.. They start their week on Saturday.. in Malaysia and most countries, Monday.. So TGIW not TGIF.. huhu..

Dinner in Nizwa

These are some pictures taken after we had our dinner. Quiet near to our house. We had 'parata' and 'shawarma' mutton with a small cup of white coffee.. umph!!! look at my hand.. can you see that i'm actually having a grip on the Moon.. haha..

2nd Day in OMAN

13 April '08 - 11:30 p.m. (Oman)

it was my second day in this beautiful country.. some pictures that i upoloaded here are places called 'wadi' (water bed).. it looks like a river but with no water.. it is dry.. it is only used only when it rains.. that seldom happens here.. huhu.. it is natural.. when it rains.. the water will fill up the 'wadi'.. it will become like a river.. maybe once in a year.. or once in a month.. or once a week.. it depends.. depends when there will be clouds.. huhu..

there is also a lot of place called 'falaj'.. falaj is a place where you will find water from the earth.. this is a source of water.. for some places in oman.. falaj will never get dry..

now in NIZWA.. there is a water crisis.. so people will get their water from 'falaj'.. another interesting phenomena is that, people in OMAN will have a lot of rest in a day.. you will see shops open at 9 or 10 a.m. until 12 or 1 o'clock. only after 4 p.m. or maybe 5 p.m. they will resume working until 8 o'clock.. sometimes, it will depend on the shopowner to work according to his comfort.. huhu.. another interesting phenomena is that people in OMAN loves to 'lepak' or 'gebang' in group of min of 2.. they will talk and talk and 'lepak' by the road side.. you can see cars parking beside the road and you'll see a few people in the dark having their sweet time talking or play cards.. not gambling..
